This is an approximate timeline of the major landmarks so far!  I'll update as we meet each new one!


September 22, 2015 - Called our agency and inquired about adopting "Jenny"

September 29, 2015 - submitted official letter of intent (LOI) to China

October 16, 2015 - received pre-approval (PA) from China to adopt "Jenny"

October 30, 2015 - Began Home study 

February 19, 2016 - Sent the majority of the documents to Assistant Stork for State 

                              Authentications, and Chinese Consulate for authentication

February 25, 2016 - Home study Approved


February 26, 2016 - Mailed I-800A

March 22, 2016 - Fingerprinting appointment

May 6, 2016 - received I-800A approval

July 11, 2016 - Placing agency received original documents from Assistant Stork

July 13, 2016 - received copies of the documents back from Assistant Stork

July 15, 2016 - DTC!!!

July 21, 2016 - LID!  


(Not sure when this happened) - moved to "matched" in the system (soft LOA)

September 2, 2016 - receive LOA  

September 9, 2016 - overnighted I-800

September 26, 2016 - I-800 approval

October 3, 2016 - Obtained GUZ number and completed DS 260

October 3, 2016 - mail out visa applications for Baba and Mama!  


October 4, 2016 -  RTF

October 6, 2016 - Drop off Article 5

October 24, 2016 -  Pick Up Article 5

October 27, 2016 - TA (travel approval)

October 27, 2016 - CA (Consulate appointment approval)

November 4, 2016 - Travel to Chengdu!!!!

November 7, 2016 Gotcha Day!!!!!
